A view of the Battle of the Pyrenees, fought on 28 July 1813 between the Allied armies of Great Britain, Portugal and Spain, Commanded by Arthur Wellesley, Marquess of Wellington (1769-1852) and the French, commanded by Marshal Jean-de-Dieu Soult (1769-1851), resulting in an Allied victory.

The original painting by Masey, on which this print is based, was purchased for Strafield Saye House in 1899 by the 3rd Duke of Wellington. The accompanying key to this print is at RCIN 735182.b.
