A view of the Battle of Waterloo, fought on 18 June 1815 between the British and Prussian armies, commanded by Field Marshals Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1769-1852) and Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (1742-1819) and the French, commanded by Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), resulting in an Allied victory. Napoleonic Wars (1803-15).

Crookshank (1921; no.35, p.61) describes a print with the same title, artist, engraver, and publisher, but it is smaller in size and was published later, on 1 March 1816.
