A map of the British attacks on the French intrenchments at Cuddalore on 13 June 1783. American War of Independence (1775-83): Second Anglo-Mysore War (1780-84). Oriented with west to top.

The action on 13 June, shown on this map, was part of the siege of Cuddalore which lasted from 7 June to 25 July. British troops, including Hanoverians, under the command of Major General James Stuart had arrived in the area on 7 June. The decision was made to attack the redoubt on the 13th. Although both sides suffered serious losses, Stuart went on to lay siege proper to the town.

Condition: one fold line; brown stains to both sides. Verso: induced discolouration.
