Maps showing three stages of the Battle of Sahay, fought on 24 May 1742, between the French, commanded by Maréchal François-Marie de Broglie (1671-1745) and Maréchal Charles Louis Auguste Fouquet, duc de Belle-Isle (1684-1761), and the Austrians, commanded by Johann George Christian, Fürst von Lobkowitz (1686-1755), resulting in a French victory. First Silesian War (1740-42): part of the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Orientation not known.

Condition: one fold line. Verso: bottom centre, water-stained patch and tear in paper from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label; remnants of label remain.
