An order of battle of the British and Jacobite armies at Prestonpans, 21 September 1745. Jacobite Rebellion (1745-6).

The ‘plan’ is not a conventional topographical map; it comprises only the order of battle for each army. The Rebel army is shown as one long, thin continuous rectangle which has been filled with a selection of motley colours to represent the plaid. The regiments of both armies are named.
