The Russians had besieged Narva during November, and their lines of circumvallation and encampments are shown on this unfinished map together with the attack of the Swedish army, the left wing commanded by the King, and the right by General Otto Vellingk (1649-1708). The encamped regiments of the Russian army, behind the lines of contravallation, are named.
Condition: four fold lines; five holes punched along left and right edges; top left corner cut off; surface dirt along right edge. Verso: brown discolouration; heavy surface dirt along left edge.
