A map of the siege of Gibraltar, 11 February-12 June 1727, by the Spanish, commanded by Cristóbal de Moscoso y Montemayor, against the British garrison who were supported by the navy, commanded by Admiral Sir Charles Wager (1666-1743). The Spanish withdrew from the siege. Anglo-Spanish War (1727-9). Oriented with east to top.

This map shows the Spanish trenches and assaults on the north side of the fortifications; lines of fire from the Spanish and British batteries are drawn. The state of the detail shown here is current for 23 June 1727 New Style.
