A journal of the siege of Corfu between 28 July and 22 August 1716 by the Ottoman army, commanded by Canum Koca Mehmed Pasha (active 1684-1736), who was defeated by Field Marshal Johann Matthias von der Schulenberg (1661-1747), commanding the Austrian army as allies of Venice. Venetian-Turkish War (1714-18).

This journal accompanies the map at RCIN 727003.a and describes the siege as experienced by the Imperial (Austrian) army. The following officers are mentioned in the text: Capitaine Ingenieur Riviere, Capitaine Ingenieur Maijbaum, Lieutenant-Colonel Borckmann (commanding the Germans).

Condition: two fold lines; formerly folded to 16.0 x 10.3 cm; surface dirt on recto of first leaf.
