The map marks the bridge which the Saxon army used to cross the Elbe at Pirna on 1 and 2 September, and shows the positions of the troops, under the commands of the King of Prussia, the King of Poland, the Duke of Brunswick, Duke of Bevern, Markgraf Charles, Marshal Keith, General Forcade, Marshal Braun, and Prince Maurice, throughout the five weeks on each side of the River Elbe.
