Etching and engraving; printed on paper; hand coloured | Scale: 1:192,800 approx. | RCIN 732090

A map of the encampments of the French and Allied armies in the Bishopric of Paderborn in 1759. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north to top (cardinal points).

The map is directly based on Hutter's publication of de la Rosière's map of Paderborn Bishopric at RCINs 732088-9. The extensive text, bottom left, giving the geographical descriptions of certain towns has been moved from the body of the map, where it appeared in Hutter's map, in order to give a less cluttered and, therefore, easier to read map of the Bishopric.
