A high oblique view/map of the triple siege of Turin, 22 May-20 September 1640 during which the French garrison in the citadel was besieged by Tommaso Francesco di Savoia, Principe di Carignano (21 December 1596-22 January 1656) and a faction of Piedmontese who, in turn, were besieged by Henri de Lorraine, comte d'Harcourt (20 March 1601-25 July 1666) and Turenne (11 September 1611-27 July 1675) who themselves were surrounded by a Spanish army commanded by Diego Felipez de Guzmán, Marquis of Leganés (1580-1655). The French prevailed and Tommaso di Savoia surrendered. Franco-Spanish War (1635-59).
