This is one of a set of six encampment plans of which the first one is missing (not present when catalogued in the early nineteenth century); see RCINs 729007.a-f. The accompanying journal (RCIN 729007.a) notes that 'Le 22me [Juin] L'Armee fit un mouvement pour s'approcher / de plus pres de l'Escaut, le Quartie General resta a / Berleghem et celui des Generaux Hannoveriens fut mis / a Veldene de lors les Anglois se chargerent du soin / du poste de Gavern de meme que de la chaine tire / depuis Merlebeck jusqu'a Ermelgem; et de la jusqu'a / Ename il fut donne aux Corps Hannoveriens le plan / marque No6 en explique tout la position.'
