A map of the siege of Tournai by the French, under the command of Count Löwendahl, from 30 April to its capitulation on 21 May 1745. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north-east to top (compass rose).

This is a detailed engraving of the town, fortified by Vauban, naming streets and selected buildings, and showing the outskirts and the attack works, batteries, and lines of fire.
