A topographical map of the country east of the Rhine between Ettlingen in the south-west and Mannheim in the north-east, showing the lines, fortifications, and camps of the Imperial and French armies between 1733 and 1735. War of the Polish Succession (1733-8). Oriented with north-north-west to top (compass rose).

The order of battle of the Imperial army, under the command of Prince Eugène of Savoy and General Feld Marschall Hertzog von Würtemberg, comprises 166 squadrons and 84 battalions, and gives the names of the General Officers and regiments.

Condition: fourteen fold lines; brown discolouration; wear along folds; top left corner missing. Verso: heavy surface dirt along folds; brown discolouration; bottom, right of centre, waterstained patch and fragments of paper from the removal of Cumberland’s cipher label.
