A later state of this map bears the imprint of ‘April 13.th 1784’.
A hand-coloured key top centre of the map shows that the British positions were coloured red, those of the Hessians and Anspachers were in blue, and those of the Rebels in yellow. Engraved and published some seven months after the action, part of this plan was based on the surveys of a Hessian artillery soldier, Lieutenant S.W. Werner.
