A view of the western end of Sullivan's Island, showing the positions of the British fleet, commanded by Commodore Sir Peter Parker (1721-1811), 18 June 1776. American War of Independence (1775-83).

This print accompanies the map of the action at RCIN 734016. This crude view indicates that the author, Lieut.-Colonel Thomas James, had not benefited from the instruction in perspective drawing which he would have received at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.
