A view of the Farnese town of Castro, besieged on 14 October 1641 by Papal troops commanded by Luigi Mattei, Marquis de Belmonte (d.1675) resulting in the surrender of the town. First War of Castro (1641-1644). Oriented with north-east to top (cardinal points).
