A tabulation of the officers of the Hanoverian army, together with a key to the uniforms of each regiment, as at 1 November 1763.

The date of 1763-66 for the date of execution of this document is based on the date of 1 November 1763 in the title, and the date of Kuntze's commission as Captain of Engineers dated 7 November 1766.

This comprehensive list of the regiments and officers of the Hanoverian Army as at 1 November 1763, gives the dates of the commissions of the rank held by each officer at that time. The strength of each regiment is given and the grand total of officers stood at 14,280. Twenty-seven finely-executed coloured drawings of the uniform coats, displaying facings, are included. The old catalogue number shows that this was originally XIII.70. The addition of the ‘-1’ was made at a later, unknown, date. A note in the old catalogue shows that this item was transferred from the Military Map collection to Uniforms on 1 June 1943. It was transferred back to K.Mil. in the 1980s. This table shows that the draughtsman, Capitaine Lieutenant Kuntze, gained his rank on 31 July 1762.
