A map of the manoeuvres of Scheither's Regiment at a review at Münden on 13 May 1772. Oriented with east to top. Two flaps showing different positions of the regiment during the manoeuvres are pasted to the base map. Scheither's was a Hanoverian infantry regiment (formed 1665) which saw action as part of the first line of the right wing under Lieut.-General Zastrow at the Battle of Hastenbeck (1757). The regiment was also present at the Battles of Krefeld and Minden [see Niemeyer and Ortenburg, 1976]. Additional text: [right, down right side of map, a key, a-i, k-z, to the different manoeuvres of the battalion.] Condition: no fold lines; creased; heavy surface dirt on both sides. Verso: ink splatters.
