One of four diagrams showing Saxon infantry manoeuvres at the Zeithainer Lustlager (the location is sometimes described as at Mühlberg, which lies to the north-west of Zeithain), promoted by Frederick Augustus I (1670-1733), Elector of Saxony and King of Poland (as Augustus II) in order to display the prowess of his newly reorganised army, from 30 May to 28 June 1730. The other diagrams are at RCINs 727035.a, c, d.

Formerly stored in a grey/blue rag-paper folder with the old heading written on the outside: Zeithayn June 1730; bottom centre, an ink annotation: No:s 231-234 [written in the 1930s or 1970s?] relates to the numbers stamped on the manuscript maps. Size of folder: 50.5 x 62.8 cm (sheet), folded to 50.5 x 31.5 cm. No watermark. All four items are untidily trimmed to an uneven shape.

Condition: one fold line; creased; surface dirt along left and right edges of recto and verso; brown stains. Verso: ink smudges.
