? H.F. GARDNER (ACTIVE 1788)

Windsor Forest, 1788 (Windsor, Berkshire, UK) 51°28'12"N 00°41'06"W

c.1788

Ink, on two sides of one sheet of paper | 24.4 x 18.4 cm (image and sheet) | RCIN 734106.2.c

This text, which appears to be in the same hand as RCINs 734106.2.a and b (i.e. H.F. Gardner), explains the manoeuvres which are shown on RCIN 734104.2.a. It is not clear why the word 'Monday' should have been crossed out in the title. The 26th May 1788 did fall on a Monday.

Formerly kept in a buff rag paper folder on which is inscribed (recto, bottom) the old heading and, in black pencil in a modern hand: (a-d) CMB Jan 87.

Condition: no fold lines. Verso: heavy surface dirt along left edge.
