A map of the French invasion of the Dutch United Provinces showing the concentration of French forces, under the command of Marshal Henri de la Tour d'Auverge, vicomte de Turenne (1611-75), around Arnhem in June 1672. Franco-Dutch War (1672-8). Oriented with north to top (compass rose). 

The map extends from Bernefelt (Barneveld) in the north-west to Zutphen in the north-east, and from Wees in the south-west to Padefoort (Padevoort) in the south-east. The numbers on the map are written against what appear to be the principal routes: 1. ‘Wech naer Harderwijck’; 2. ‘Wech naer Renen’; 3. ‘Wegh naer Amersfort’; 4. ‘Wech van Arnhem op Zutphen’; 5. ‘De Nieuwe vaert op Nieumegen’; 6. Not named, but follows the River IJssel; 7. Not named, follows the River Rhine.
