The map extends from Ottak (Ataky 48°32'31"N 26°28'54"E) in the north-west to Paposchin (Babshin 48°28'30"N 26°33'20"E) in the south-east, a distance of about 5 miles (about 8 km). The village of Ruda (Ruda 48°33'14"N 26°33'55"E), about 4½ miles (about 7.2 km) to the north-east of Choczim marks the top boundary of the map. The tents of the Turkish camp are shown behind Choczim while, on the left bank of the Dniestr, are shown the fortified camps of the Russians, under the command of the Prince de Galitzin, together with outposts and the number of men in each, and other field fortifications.
