This second title page is decorated, along the bottom, with a view, perhaps of an action in which, on the left, an Austrian soldier, standing at the foot of a square watchtower manned by soldiers with firearms, fires a musket at Turkish soldiers to the right. A mounted Russian dragoon wields a sabre and charges at the Turks. To the right, behind the Turks, is a fortification on the ramparts of which are three cannon, one to each side of two wicker gabions, two artillery men and the Russian standard. In the middle foreground, Turks are landing in rowing boats and planting the Turkish flag on the shore. In the distance, across a straight of water, is a fortified settlement with the tower of a mosque rising from behind the wall. This view may represent the Battle of Kinburn which took place on 12 October 1787.
