A map of the encampment of George II's German troops at Blomberg, 17 May 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north-east to top.

The encamped squadrons and battalions of the following regiments were: Cavalry: Grenadiers à Cheval; Bock; Heimburg; Garde du Corps; Comte Isenburg; Pr. Guilleaume; Regmt du Corps; Dragons du Corps. Infantry: Gardes; Oberg; Hardenberg; Zastrow; Saxe Gothe; Hanau; Haudring; Pr: Anhalt; Mansbach; Parc d'Artillerie hessoise.

The scale to the map, and the key to the conventional signs used to represent the troops is given on RCIN 732201.ai, headed 'Remarques'. The troop rectangles are coloured according to nationality: Hanoverian (red), Prussian (green), Brunswickian (yellow), Hessian (blue), French (lilac).
