A sketch of the encampment of the British army at Cancale, 1758. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with west to top.

This rough sketch indicates the approximate positions of the encampment of the expeditionary force just south of Cancale. The lettering of the names ‘la Houlle’ and ‘Cancalle’ is similar to William Roy's hand.
