A map of the encampment of George II's German troops at Jäger Krug, 3 June 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north-west to top.

The distance between the camps at Neuhaus and Jäger Krug is about 20 km or 12 miles. The tiny settlement of Jäger Krug does not appear on the map today; the co-ordinates are those for the nearby settlement of Stukenbrock which is marked on the map.

The encamped squadrons and battalions of the following regiments were: First Line: Bock; Hardenberg; Zandré; Zastrow Col:; Hanau; Pr: Anhalt; Reg: du Corps; Dragons du Corps; Oberg. Second Line: Prince Guilleaume; Comte Isenburg; Pr: Charle; Mansbach; Haudring; Saxe Gothe; Post; Ledebur; Heimburg; Parc d'art: Hannovr.; Parc d'Artillerie Hessois.

The scale to the map, and the key to the conventional signs used to represent the troops is given on RCIN 732201.ai, headed 'Remarques'. The troop rectangles are coloured according to nationality: Hanoverian (red), Prussian (green), Brunswickian (yellow), Hessian (blue), French (lilac).
