A map of the encampments of the Allied army north of Werl following the Battle of Vellinghausen on 16 July 1761. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with south-east to top.

The attribution to Pleydell is made on stylistic grounds. This map shows information which is not present on RCINs 733035 or 733036.

Condition: brown stains; small tear to bottom left panel, repaired by laying down on linen. Verso: top left, water-stained patch from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label together with a partial migration of red ink giving an incomplete reference: I [3]0 A.
