A map of the encampment of George II's German troops at Bielefeld, 2 May 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with south to top. 

The distance between the previous camp at Lemgo and Bielefeld was about 22 km (13½ miles).The encamped squadrons and battalions of the following regiments were: Right Wing: Busch Drg.; Regt du Corps; Sckölln; Spörcken; Brunck; Kielmansegge; Hodenberg; Diepenbroick; Fabrice; Druchtleben; Post; Buckeburg; Parc d'Artill: Hannovr:. Left Wing: Dachenhausen Drag:; Reden; Gilten; Reg: du Corps; Imhoff; Behr; Zastrow; Parc d'Art: de Bronsvic. 

The scale to the map, and the key to the conventional signs used to represent the troops is given on RCIN 732201.ai, headed 'Remarques'. The troop rectangles are coloured according to nationality: Hanoverian (red), Prussian (green), Brunswickian (yellow), Hessian (blue), French (lilac).
