The positions of the Allied army's batteries, trenches, and redans are shown, together with the positions of the camps of the infantry and cavalry; no regiments are named. Brackwede was about 20 km (12½ miles) north-east of the French position at Rheda on 13 June.
A key to the symbols used to distinguish between the infantry, cavalry, dragoons, and hussars, appears on the Carte des Cantonnemens, de L'Armée at RCIN 732002.ax.
