A map of encampment at Penn, near Amersham, 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with east to top (cardinal points).

The facing page (RCIN 731068.m) lists the encamped regiments. The camp took place from 4 July to 26 July. The encamped regiments, under the command of Major-Generals Campbell and Cornwallis were: 37th Stewart's, 2 Bat.; 33rd Lord Charles Hay's, 2 Bat.; 24th Cornwallis's, 2 Bat.

Size: 29.2 x 33.6 cm (image). Oriented with east to top (cardinal points). [Text on facing page:] Encampment at Amersham / 1757. Watermark: fleur-de-lys in crowned shield the letters G R below. Size: 32.7 x 34.5 cm (image). The title is different to K.Mil; some of the field patterns are different, and a few of the configurations of the buildings are also different; the K.Mil copy has more names.
