A map of the encampment near Salisbury, 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north-north-west to top (cardinal points).

The facing page (RCIN 731068.i) lists the encamped regiments. The camp took place from 28 June to 25 September. The encamped regiments, under the command of Lieutenant-General Halley, Earl of Ancram, Brigadiers Elliot and Douglass are: 1st Royal Dragoons; 3rd Dragoon Guards; 3rd King's Own Dragoons; 4th Birch's Dragoons; 6th Inniskilling Dragoons; and 11th Ancram's Dragoons.

This is a more polished plan than K.Mil., and has more detail, for example, Wilton and Quidhampton [Chilhampton?], bottom left, are shown in more detail, and a little plan of Old Sarum, which is not present on the K.Mil. copy, is drawn in the right margin of the BL plan.
