A rough sketch showing the general dispositions of George II's German troops and those of the French at the Battle of Hastenbeck, 26 July 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north-east to top.

This sketch shows the Hanoverians occupying the Right Wing and Centre of the First Line of Battle, with the Brunswicks on the Left Wing, with Hanoverian and Hessian cavalry in the Second Line, and detached squadrons in the left rear. The French formation and battery positions are marked.
