The attribution to Anton Heinrich du Plat is made on stylistic grounds. The camp at Holzhausen was dated 16 June (see RCIN 732200.n) and that at Dankersen was dated 26 June (see RCIN 732200.p).
Condition: two fold lines; ink smudges; brown staining; surface dirt. Verso: large water-stained patch, top centre, and smaller water-stained patches from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label to left; top, fragments of cipher label between canvas and verso of map; considerable brown staining.
