The key contains an explanation of the camps and movements of the opposing armies. The description of the action, from 5 May, contained in the key, ends with the statement: 'La bataille commença vers les 9. heures du matin, & finit entierement vers le Soir à 8. heures' [11 hours' duration]. Le même jour après la bataille le Roi de Prusse bloquait la ville de Prague, où une partie de l'armée défaite fut enfermée.
