An order of battle of the British army in July 1762. Seven Years War (1756-63).

The General Officers of the First Line are Field Marshal Ligonier; Lieutenant-Generals Carr, Effingham, Argyll, Ancram; Major-Generals Webb, Durand. The General Officers of the Second Line are Lieutenant-Generals Delawarr, Bertie, Kingsley; Major-General Hodgson. The Corps of Reserve is commanded by Major-General Sir John Griffin.

The regiments are named, and the regimental rectangles are coloured according to the colours of the coats and facings of each. The disposition of various regiments, on duty with the Queen, at the Tower, Dover Castle, Dover Town, Chatham Barracks, Sissinghurst duty, Hilsea Barracks, Portsmouth, Fareham Duty, Winchester Duty, Landguard Fort, Norwich & Yarmouth, Plymouth, the Western Division and the Northern Division, is given.

The style of draughting is typical of the Board of Ordnance and may have been drawn by a Tower of London draughtsman or an engineer officer.

Condition: no fold lines; crease lines consistent with the document having been rolled; surface dirt to both sides.
