A high oblique view of the siege of Regensburg which capitulated to Imperial forces on 22 July 1634.Thirty Years War (1618-1648). Oriented with north to top.

This crude engraving shows the approach trenches with the redoubts, the quarters of the Holy Roman Emperor, Ferdinand II (9 July 1578-15 February 1637), and the batteries. The coat of arms of the dedicatee, Scipione Gonzaga (1595-1670), prince of Bozolo, etc., appears top right.
