A high oblique view/map of the Battle of Leucate, fought on 28 September 1637 between the French Royal army, commanded by Charles de Schomberg, duc de Halluin (16 February 1601-6 June 1656), Governor of Languedoc, and the Spanish, commanded by Gerardo de Cervellón, resulting in a French victory. Thirty Years War (1618-1648)

    Condition: the mount has a partial framing line of Type A, perhaps for a smaller item, which is visible along part of top edge of view; some foxing to both sides of the mount. Pressure marks from the mounts of items which were kept above and below this print in a different collection are present on the recto and verso
