A map of encampment of the British army at Bree, 1747. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with west to top (compass rose).

The march between the previous camp at Hocht and Bree was about 30 km (18.5 miles). According to the old catalogue entry for RCIN 730181 (a rough field sketch of this encampment), this camp was pitched on 17 October. The encamped battalions and squadrons, situated immediately south of Reppel (51°09'14"N 05°33'44"E), comprised the following regiments: First Line: Guards, Howard, Dejean, Crawford, Johnson, Campbell, Rich, Scots Greys. Second Line: Pulteney, Conway, Douglas, Fleming, Huske, Cope, Rothes. Artillery in the rear.

Condition: flat, no fold lines.
