A sketch of the encampments of the Allied army, under the command of the Duke of Cumberland, at Diegem July 1745. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). No orientation.

This sketch would have formed one of the compilation sources for Schultz's fair drawing of the encampments along the Brussels Canal at RCIN 729136.

Originally kept in a grey buff folder with the old heading written in pencil on the front: Encampment at Dieghem July 1745. An ink inscription ‘(474)’ refers to the number stamped in black on the item.

Condition: four fold lines; brown discolouration from the deterioration of the past along the joins; small tears and holes.
