A map of encampment of the British army at Eindhoven, 1747. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with west to top (compass rose).

The march from the previous camp at Hamont to Eindhoven was about 27 km (17 miles). According to the cld catalogue entry for RCIN 730183, the camp at Eindhoven was pitched on 19 October. The encampment site is shown to the south-east of Aelst (Aalst 51°23'48"N 05°28'40"E). The battalions/squadrons of the following regiments are present: First Line: Scots Greys, Howard, Dejean, Crawford, Johnson, Campbell, Cope and Rich. Second Line: Rothes, Pultney, Conway, Douglass, Fleming, Husk. Artillery to one side on the right.

Condition: flat, no fold lines.
