A map of the encampment of the British and Austrian armies at Kelsterbach on 10 June 1743. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with south to top.

A sketch map showing the positions of the British and Austrian camps, in order of battle, south-west of Kelsterbach (Napier has ‘Keltersbach’). The position of a camp of five British battalions the day before, 9 June, is indicated. The main roads to Hochst, Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Mainz are shown. Other copies of this map, in different hands, and with small differences in detail, are at RCINs 728089 and 728090.
