Map of Eger [Egra], 1742 (Cheb, Karlovarský Kraj, Czech Republic) 50°04'46" N 12°22'26"E
1742 or laterPencil, pen, ink and watercolour on paper | Scale: 1:22,000 approx. | RCIN 728072
In the same hand as RCIN 728077 (Camp at Dingelfing November-December 1742). A note explains that the infantry regiments are coloured in yellow, the cavalry in blue, the dragoons and gendarmes in red, and the enemy in green and that the position of the first camp, on 8 and 9 October, is rendered in a fainter colour. The second camp, which took place on 22 and 23 October, following the army's return from Bohemia, was east of Reichersdorf (near present-day Hradiště (50°05'19"N 12°23'44"E) and stretched east from Hanersdorf (Jindřichov 50°06'22"N 12°24'02"E). Principal routes are drawn in red; relief is shown by a combination of brown brush hachures and brown wash; a green wash is used for river valleys and marsh is distinguished by symbol. The attack on the west side of Eger is noted and the baggage and equipment of the army is shown on the east side of the city with the infantry camp guarding it.
