A map of encampment at Schilde, 1747. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with south-west to top (compass rose).

The small force which constituted the advance corps encamped at Schilde comprised battalions of the following regiments: Howard, Block, Hessian Guards, Majoribank, Beyrheid, Wolfenbuttel, Olivarez, Waldeck and Wolfe.

Condition: no fold lines; corners rounded. Verso: some foxing.
