The attribution to Caroline Scott, who became Chief Engineer with the Madras Engineers in India, is made on stylistic grounds.
This sketch map shows the cantonments of the British troops in the Netherlands in July 1748. Regiments are named, and their former locations are indicated by white rectangles with dotted outlines.
