    A map of the French and Bavarian troops at Písek on 27-28 December 1741. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with south to top (cardinal points).

    Písek was the furthest French outpost. It was unsuccessfully attacked in the night of 28 December 1741 by Habsburg troops ('Ennemis') who were repulsed by the French.
