The location of the French lines was actually a little to the south of St Peter's Hill, south of Caster, and is shown, in relation to the positions of the Allied army encampments and posts on RCIN 730159. On this plan, the solid infill on the line of the intrenchment appears to represent the elevated part of the line, and the dotted infill represents the ditch.
