George Louis le Rouge (1707-93/4)
A map of the routes taken by the French army, under the command of Maréchal Charles Louis Auguste Fouquet, duc de Belle-Isle (1684-1761), between 16 and 27 December 1742. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top (cardinal points).
The map shows the march routes of the French army and the settlements along the way. The chronology of the march, in columns marking the sections of the route, includes details of the camp locations, statistics on the cavalry, artillery and death toll.
