A map of the Battle of Denain, fought on 24 July between the French, commanded by Marshal Claude Louis Hector de Villars (1643-1734), and the Allied (Dutch and Austrian) army commanded by Prince Eugène of Savoy (1663-1736) and Arnold Joost van Keppel, 1st Earl of Albemarle (1670-1718), resulting in a French victory. War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14).
