A map of the encampment of the Allied army, commanded by John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722), at Meldert, 30 May 1707. War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with south to top.

The encampment extends from Tourinnes-la-Grosse [not named] (50°46'58"N 04°44'39"E) in the west, to Haugaerde (Hoegaarden 50°46'32"N 04°53'22"E) in the east. The map is unfinished; there is no lettering except for four place-names at the left (east) edge; the town of Tirlemont (Tienen 50°48'26"N 04°56'16"E) is indicated in the bottom left corner.

Condition: one fold line; two crease lines. Verso: induced discolouration.
